Hello, my name is Kate Walsh Soucheray and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I work at Christian Heart Counseling in Stillwater, Minnesota. I am a Catholic woman, married to my husband John for nearly 40 years. I work with individuals, couples, families, adolescents and children and use proven, best-practice counseling tools and skill-building protocols to help my clients navigate the difficulties of life.
These are challenging times. These are very challenging time we are facing, probably the hardest time we have ever faced, and there is no clear end in sight. When this sort of thing happens, we must turn to positive thinking; good health practices, such as eating well and daily exercise; we must rely on our faith life that helps us remember that God is in control and that He does love us and has a desire to help us; and we must turn to those we care about and love for encouragement and support. We can turn toward the Sacraments to help us.
We must do everything we can to support and encourage those we care about and love.
My husband John and I have been married for nearly 40 years and we have three adult children, two of whom are married and our youngest son is getting married this summer in the middle of COVID-19. We have five precious grandchildren and feel so blessed to be parents and grandparents who can support and encourage these families to remain strong and resilient during these uncertain times.
May God's goodness and faithfulness be evident to you each and every day!
